Gonzalo Madrigal, MD
Gonzalo grew up in Waupaca, WI. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from UW Whitewater. After obtaining his undergraduate degree he worked as an EMT and Spanish medical interpreter in southeastern Wisconsin for three years. During this time he discovered his passion for caring for patients and working with the underserved.
His time in Ponce, Puerto Rico for medical school allowed him to continue utilizing his Spanish and he hopes to offer that skill to the Fox Valley. While in medical school he was active in various community health fairs which focused on rural communities, as well as a student-run interest group that cared for the underserved in the city.
In his free time, Gonzalo enjoys spending time with his wife and family. They are self-described "foodies" and are looking forward to exploring all of the great restaurants that the area has to offer. He also enjoys running (usually with their dog, Lily), kayaking, and playing soccer.
Gonzalo chose to train at Fox Valley for its challenging curriculum and the opportunity to learn full spectrum medicine in a great community.
